Cleveland, Ohio – After taking three-out-of-four against Toronto, the Tigers now turn their attention to Progressive Field where they hope to take all four games and reestablish their dominance. After losing to Tampa Bay and falling out of first place for a brief moment, the Tigers appear to be on track for a winning road trip. It all starts tonight with the Indians. If they can take game one, it will set up a tone for the rest of the series. Hopefully, the Tigers are on track for a winning brand of baseball once again. It was really disappointing for awhile when the Tigers fell out of first place. Now the Tigers must return to their dominance before All-Star break. It won’t matter that Jim Leyland has the honor to be the American League manager, which he earned due to the Tigers winning the American League pennant one year ago. They have got to come out strong in the second half, because you know the Indians won’t go away. They have former Red Sox manager Terry Francona. It should be interesting to follow baseball in the dog days of summer and into fall. Not only are you watching the Tigers as a team, you are watching Miguel Cabrera and his pursuit of another triple crown. It seems like anything you can do I can do better between Cabrera and Chris Davis of Baltimore.
