With Target Field empty last night, and no fans except for cutouts in the seats, PA announcer Adam Abrams introduced the Twins with a lot of excitement. And then, it was time for the team to hunt for Redbirds. In the beginning of the game, it looked like it was going to be a runaway for the Twins, but the Cardinals came chirping back. The final score ended up to be 6-3 Twins, which is what I was expecting. When you have two Central Division leaders, one in the National League and one in the American League, you expect them to be pretty evenly matched. The game was exciting, because both teams brought energy to Target Field. You could even hear the players in the dugout rooting on their teammates.
Tonight, the Twins look to go 4-1 in the truncated season. After tonight’s game with the boys from the Arch city, the Twins will face last year’s combatants, the Cleveland Indians, for four games, starting on Thursday night at the place that I call Right on Target.
