First of all, I would like to thank Commissioner Stern for his service. He has seen great players since he took over leadership of the NBA. Last night was his last game as Commissioner of the NBA, and what a game it was! Two tremendous teams. One was looking to defend and the other was looking for a fourth title. You knew this was coming and you have to give Erik Spoelstra a lot of credit because he deserves it. That’s why he gets paid the big bucks to run Pat’s ship. What can you say about LBJ? He is just amazingly good! If I was Pat, I would figure out a way to re-sign him, so he can’t leave South Beach. The guy is incredibly great, and this is coming from a Pacers fan who was knocked out of the playoffs by the Miami Heat. It makes us wonder how good the Heat will be next year? Erik should have gotten coach of the year. The guy has plenty of veterans who know what to do when the lights are at their brightest. I’m not disappointed that the Heat won, because the championship stayed in the Eastern Conference. Who knows how healthy Danny Granger will be next year. It will be interesting to watch the NBA draft and see where Victor and Cody end up. I know that they will not be Pacers, unfortunately, because Cleveland has the number one pick. You have to be a really bad team to get Oladipo and Zeller. As far as the Pacers, I haven’t seen anything with Tyler trying to re-sign, or David West. Another interesting thing will be to see how Commissioner Adam Silver will run the league. What rules will he adjust and what rules will he abolish? I will bring you the story of the Pacers all season, as well as the Miami Heat. We will also cover the Western champions the Spurs, too. Free agency starts on July 1st. Another question I have is how long Chicago is willing to wait for Derrick Rose to get healthy? He was a big part of why the Bulls were such a good team, and I hope that he is able to play next year, because he is one of the reasons why the NBA is so fun to cover. He and David West, and Paul George for that matter.
