Bismarck, ND. For immediate release.
You knew right away when the Bobcats took first place, they were going to have home ice advantage. They are facing the number four team, the Aberdeen Wings. Home ice means nothing if you don’t get game one on your ice. With a win on Friday, Aberdeen can take it right away.

The Wings and the Bobcats have always been a pain in each other’s side, because the rivalry hasn’t been without a spicy flavor. The two coaches have gotten into it in the past. For Aberdeen, it’s Scott Langer and for Bismarck, it’s Garrett Roth. Langer was John Becanic’s Assistant coach for the Bobcats in 1997. Roth used to be a Bobcats player, and is the team’s all time leading scorer. Garrett was an assistant coach for Aberdeen in 2010-2012. In my opinion, this series will go all five games. I see no reason not to think like that, because the coaches will make adjustments and it will be up to the players to skate and play hard. I think number one will move on, and the Odde Ice Center will be closed for the summer.
