Bloomington, Indiana. You know when you are having a special year when the college football gods are smiling at you and you get a first ever Heisman Trophy for the school. Fernando Mendoza was the first Indiana quarterback to lay claim to the Heisman for the Hoosiers. Vanderbilt Commodores quarterback Diego Pavia was a sore loser and he did not even congratulate Fernando on the win. Instead, he chose to be very down and say “f the voters.” I would like to say congratulations to Fernando and the Hoosiers administration on their Heisman win. Fernando gave the glory to God. That is not the first time that Jesus has been mentioned by Fernando. He has one eye on the NFL draft, while trying to lead IU to a first national championship in school history. They will await the winner of Alabama – Oklahoma, which will be played on Friday night in Norman. Never fear, Fernando’s brother Alberto Mendoza is Fernando’s backup quarterback for the Indiana Hoosiers.
