For the Bismarck Bobcats, it’s almost playoff time, and they haven’t been looking like Robertson Cup champions lately. After this past weekend, against the lowly Minnesota Mallards, they finally are starting to get an identity worthy of being champions. When you have the last place team in your division on your home ice, you should sweep them, and tell them, “not in our den.” Friday was game one, and the Bobcats performed admirably and defeated the Mallards handily with a final score of 6-2. Saturday was more of the same, with the Bobcats scoring a six burger again. The Bobcats will take on the fourth place Watertown Shamrocks next weekend at the Den. The Shamrocks are going to get shot down by the Bobcats. Bryce Francisco is a new goalie for the Bobcats, and he performed stellarly in his NAHL debut against the Mallards. Coach Roth put him in net in back to back games, and he outworked the Mallards singlehandedly.
