Saturday afternoon was supposed to be a baptism by fire, but it turned out to be a huge Bison goring of Jacksonville State. Nathan Hayes put on a clinic that saw him throwing two touchdowns to two different players. The first one was to Reis Kessel, and the second one was to Jordan McCants. Code Green even showed up to intercept Jax State quarterback Caden Creel. Drew “re-Cline” kicked four field goals, and all of them were good. The final score was NDSU Bison 33, Jax State 7.
Jeremiah and family will be at the next goring at the Dome on Saturday for a 2:30 kickoff. The Bison will attempt to go for win number two against Fordham. Or as Coach Polasek says, “one and 0 every week.”
