Are they really the role models that they portray themselves to be? In the NFL you’ve got people, example Marvin Harrison, who allegedly was at a bar in Philadelphia and fired a gun. If this is true, the Indianapolis Colts should be ashamed of themselves for having such a high standard of players and letting one slip through the cracks. Another example, the Tennessee Titans. Pacman Jones using drugs and violating the NFL’s drug policy. I don’t think the Cowboys should have given him another chance. I don’t care if you’re an athlete or not, you’re not above the law. You give children the wrong idea when you do stupid stuff. Athletes are like average citizens with big paychecks, not above the law. All they care about is money. They think “what is our sport to us?” It’s not a right to play sports, it’s a privilege. Use your brains athletes. I know money talks, but still, you’re giving the NFL a black eye. You’re doing stuff that is detrimental to yourselves, the league, and children. Use your brains athletes.
