Loudon, New Hampshire. After a surprising burst through the door that sent shock waves through the NASCAR world in Chicago, with everybody expecting his majesty do so well, Chicago gave us a glimpse that his majesty is not so tough after all. The Columbus, Indiana native has sent warnings: where there is Smoke, there is Tony. One year ago at Loudon, Smoke was leading, only to have his dream broken by not having enough gas in the car. But on this late September Sunday, Stewart had the drive and the heart to make Indiana proud. There are still nine races to go to the ultimate dethroning of Johnson, but each race that Tony wins, the throne gets a little more wobbly. The series now moves on to Dover, Delaware, where his Smokiness looks to set the NASCAR world into a flaming bath of Mobil 1 motor oil.
