With the calendar slowly turning to hot days, unless you live in North Dakota, the calendar is playing tricks on you. It feels more like here kitty kitty weather. It doesn’t feel like a flock of birds are coming any time soon, but it’s time to turn our attention to John Bollinger and the Bismarck Larks. They are a classy organization, and a lot of their class comes from the top. Mr. Bollinger is a classy man, and the brand of baseball reflects that. I’m hoping for a long summer of covering baseball, because there is no other man I would rather work for in the summertime. I am glad for the fans that Bismarck only has one team this summer, instead of three brands of baseball last year. I was going to work for JB last summer, but when the coronavirus hit, I decided to stay home.

Mr. Bollinger nominated me for a Hometown Hero award, so now I would like to return the favor and get going on Larks baseball. JB has a quote about me that is located in the Hometown Heroes article in the May-June issue of the Bismarck Magazine, along with my picture. It says “When Jeremiah covered Larks games, you knew you were going to get a descriptive portrayal of how everything unfolded.” Little does he know, his favorite staff writer wants to come back and gladly cover chirpy chirpy baseball again this year. Working for the St. Louis, Missouri native was fun when I was covering the Larks. JB, you get your wish. He’s back! The Voice of Boyce will gladly be making its triumphant return soon.
