Indianapolis, IN. Instead of the Boilers traveling to northern Indiana, they will travel an hour away from their depot in West Lafayette to the Colts’ stadium in Indianapolis to meet their northern Indiana rivals. They will try and reclaim the shillelagh trophy, which hasn’t been in West Lafayette for an eternity. It seems like it’s been in South Bend forever because the Boilers have been a train wreck ever since Joe Tiller left. For that matter, ever since Drew Breese left for the NFL. But hope springs eternal this year. I have been corresponding with the voice of the Boilers, Tim Newton, and he seems to think that there’s still hope for coach Darrell Hazell. But only time will tell. I will be watching and listening to the
Learfield Purdue Sports Network. Jeremiahboyce.com is making plans to be at Ross Ade Stadium on October 11 when the Boilers try and run over the Spartans from Michigan State.
