After last weekend sweeping the Bulls in Bismarck, the Bobcats won a thriller in overtime on Saturday night in Mason City 5-4. The Bobcats are still in last place, but are in position to earn their way in for another Robertson Cup playoff run. They have to beat the Bulls in a two game series Friday and Saturday in Bismarck. But it would also help if Minot and Aberdeen would lose.

Last night was a certain Bench Boss’s 40th birthday. Layne Sedevie was proud of the way the Bobcats battled back from 3 nothing down. The Bulls were not to be outdone and tied it at four. Bismarck won in overtime on a goal by Michael Neumeier. Neumeier reminds me of former Bobcat number 9 Casey McKenna, because he has grit and toughness. He is not afraid to battle the Bulls and win. The Bobcats are hot and the Bulls are easy to sweep, but only time will tell. This is a six game series and anything can happen.
