What the Bobcats have been doing at the Red Baron Arena is impressive. Any time your offense can put together a fifteen goal attack and sweep one of the beat teams in the league, and also the team that the Bobcats beat 3-0 on May 9, 2010 for the Sheriff’s first NAHL Robertson Cup ring, you make the Sheriff have dreams of getting ring number two. Even though we don’t have Farragher or Shepherd, I believe that under the tutelage of Layne Sedevie, Cameron Korpi could easily become a Robertson Cup champion. But there are several areas that the 2020-21 Bobcats must improve on. Anyone who goes to the sin bin way too much should be jettisoned to another team. Someone who acts like a monkey and doesn’t know the rules of the NAHL, and is the reason we are always on the penalty kill, should be yelled at by the 11 year bench boss of the Bobcats. When the Bobcats are on the power play, they shouldn’t be monkeying around with the puck. They should be looking at the area where their opponent is not located. And the Bobcats must take harder slap shots and get their bodies in front of the net, even if they have to push and shove their way to the greasy area. You can still push and shove your way without committing an infraction. And you can still be a tough cat. Layne Sedevie is lucky I’m just a member of the Cats media, because if I ever got access to the locker room, he might not like what I would say to the team. They need a fire lit under their behinds, like your Sheriff did on New Year’s Eve. And if I have to go in the here kitty kitty locker room and show them my piece of jewelry, I’m not afraid to. Sometimes I think 19 and 20 year olds don’t listen to their coach. If they listen to their fearless leader, the way they are supposed to, then the Sheriff has chance of becoming a two time Robertson Cup titlist.
