After a rather dismal performance on Friday at home, losing to a team that you should never let see the light of day, and that you should never let celebrate in your den, there were some rather angry Cats on the ice in the city I like to call the cloudy city. On Saturday, the Bobcats performed like the Robertson Cup champions they will be. Thomas Brigl has the full support of his Sheriff when it comes to the 11 year bench boss Layne Sedevie. It wasn’t Layne who got the best out of his charges. They got the best out of themselves. Credit has to go to Bobcat goaltender Tommy Aiken. Usually after a goalie lets in two goals, it can easily mean curtains for the night. But instead, several key members of the Bobcats made sure that they would have a purry head coach and general manager on the way home from St. Cloud on Saturday night.
Here is your Sheriff’s wrap up. I liked what I heard, and it made me want to give my guys a big huge hug, but unfortunately when the team is on the road, the Sheriff can only listen to Andrew call the win. This team that Layne has put together has been nothing but class individuals, considering what their Sheriff has had to go through all season long. Not being with my guys hurts me in my heart. And not being able to give my best friend Layne Sedevie a big hello and a big hug hurts even more. I would like to say thank you to Andrew Weiss for working with my friend Randy McCabe every Thursday, so that I can bring the city that I love my coverage of their purry team. Hopefully, someday soon the Sheriff will be able to watch the team that is like brothers to me. Thank you, guys, for at least talking to your Sheriff on Thursdays. It’s unfortunate that we have to be like this. Soon, I would like to give everyone who works their butt off in the organization a big hug. When Layne says “if we could play with as much passion as he has, I don’t think we would lose a game” that makes my job super, super fun. Love you, Sed. Miss you.
