In the NDSU Bison’s opening win, they held the Albany Great Danes to only 6 points on Saturday. Dominic Gonnella ran for 135 yards against the Great Danes, helping the Bison take an early 7 to nothing lead. Gonnella is only a sophomore, and I expect great things from him in the Missouri Valley Conference when they open up against their rivals to the North. The Great Danes struck before halftime cutting the Bison lead to 14-6. That would be the only Great Dane scoring on the day. Next week the Bison play the Valparaiso Crusaders out of Valparaiso, IN.
