Ladies and gentlemen, remember we are still dealing with teams that can win at Phoenix, and I am referring to Jeff Gordon and Joey Logano. Just because we are going to Martinsville this week does not mean they will automatically hand over the clock to Jeff Gordon. He has to earn it on the race track. I will be watching qualifying on Friday afternoon, because qualifying will set up the story of who to follow for the rest of the weekend. As we all know, Martinsville is the house that is owned by Mr. H. If they qualify in the top five and get a really good setup, then there is your story for the weekend. Qualifying is going to be the really big story on Friday. You know that Kevin and Rodney are going to come out swinging, because they do not like being accused of doing something they didn’t do, and they do not want to hear about Joey Logano. I think the big story is if Joey can keep the momentum all the way to the final Sunday of the year, when it really counts, or if Carl, Kevin, or even Jeff take that momentum and use it against Joey to put him in the wall at Martinsville. Martinsville is a paperclip, so I would not expect Joey to be safe at all. A lot of drivers are angry, so I am expecting this round to be filled with hot tempers. The fun will start on Sunday. I do not know who I will be writing about on Monday. I would like to write about Jeff Gordon winning, but I do not know with the way the drivers have been acting lately. Stay tuned for updates to this story.
