Bismarck, North Dakota. A year after a dramatic and stunning way to be unceremoniously knocked off their throne, the Bismarck Bobcats have their eye on Lord Robinson one more time. With former Bismarck product Layne Sedevie at the helm, the team that gave us a thrill by melting away the Blizzard in Alexandria opens their defense of another Central Division crown. But they do not have Ryan Farragher in the net, so their goaltending will be an area to keep your eye on. The Bobcats open the season with four straight evening games in the Blaine, Minnesota Showcase. This weekend, it was the fledgling Minot franchise in town. The Bobcats swept a pair in a preseason that means nothing. Where it really counts begins on Wednesday, and hopefully goes in to the summer of 2012, when all your Junior A dreams are realized. As always, you can follow the kings of the Central on Supertalk 1270 AM, with Paul Teeple, and also at Reza’s Pitch on South Third.
