Detroit, Michigan. The Tigers have the Central Division pretty much in a choke hold in an unbelievable stretch of baseball. The Tigers have swept the Indians and the White Sox, and now their next victim was the Minnesota Twins. Yesterday, Brandon Inge stepped in with your ballgame tied at 2, and delivered a fatal blow to the once proud Twins organization. Today’s game was an opportunity for the Tigers to solidify what a weapon their pitching staff will be on their way to the top of baseball’s mountain. The Tigers defeated the hapless Twins 2-1, and finished the season with a recoed of 14-4 against the Twins. This is why teams like the Twins have tickets to sit their butts on their couches. Meanwhile the Tigers have tickets to battle the New York goons or the Boston Tea Party in the playoffs. Let’s say the Tigers have earned the right to compete for one of the greatest trophies in all of sports, the World Series trophy.
