Juan Pablo Montoya will not be returning to drive the Target car for Chip. Times are changing from when Chip Ganassi made the announcement at Chicago that he was going to bring Juan Pablo from Indy to NASCAR. I knew he wasn’t going to make it in NASCAR, and yesterday proved my point. Juan Pablo has only made the Chase one time, and he has also only been to victory lane one time in his NASCAR career. Juan Montoya is very hard for me to understand, because he wanted to try NASCAR instead of sticking with the open wheel cars. It would make sense to me if he wanted to try NASCAR and he just hung out in the Nationwide series, but I guess Ganassi and Teresa Earnhardt saw something in Jaun Montoya when they hired him. I don’t know what is in Juan Montoya’s future, but I would expect that maybe he would go to the Gansassi open wheel program. I would also expect him to run with the Indy cars. I never understand the crazy car owners who think they can turn Juan and Danica into something they are not! Unfortunately I think this might be a recurring thing. Only time will tell!
