They are from Columbia, Missouri, the number 99 driver, Carl Edwards, and from Columbus, Indiana, number one in your Hoosier heart, Tony Stewart. Last week, Stewart issued a warning to the Missourian “he better be worried.” This week, what was to become of the battle in the Lone Star state became the Texas Tony show, as the Columbus driver became the top cowboy in Texas. For instance, he is becoming this year’s Jimmie Johnson, winning when it really counts. He is now within 3 points of Edwards in the points standings going to the Arizona desert. Here is a side note. The last driver before Jimmie went on his domination run to hold the NEXTEL Cup was Stewart.
