After replacing the “dominator,” Dominik Hasek, Chris Osgood helped the Red Wing’s play-off dreams live on with a 3-0 stoning of the Nashville Predators at the Somay Center.  After standing on his head, and the Red Wings having a 14-2 shot advantage, it was Niklas Lidstrom getting on the board for the boys from the Motor City.  The man who wears the “C” for Detroit taught the inexperienced Predators what the playoffs are all about, teaching them that you can’t stop a determined team.  After Lidstrom’s goal, the Predators seemed to be a lifeless team, at least on the scoreboard.  Jiri Hudler gave the Predators more heartache that they would never recover from.  Brian Rafalski made sure the Predators would fall down, and stay down, with 4.8 seconds to go, giving Hockey Town a continuing run at Lord Stanley “Red Wing” Cup.
