Today’s opponent is the Washington Wizards, and the Pacers are going to need to be ready to go from the opening tip, and they need to spread the ball around to different players so Washington doesn’t know where it’s coming from. They need to move the ball from side to side, and when they have an open look, as Slick says, they need to “take it to the hoop.” On defense, they need to move and follow the ball, and Miles Turner absolutely cannot foul out. If he does, McMillan ought to sit his butt on the bench! Whoever wants to be Reggie Miller needs to take charge early and not fall behind 10-2, and make magic against the Wizards and make them disappear like they did on Saturday against Philadelphia. This is Indiana’s game, for heaven’s sake. It’s not Washington DC’s game.
