Too many turnovers hurt the 76ers and aided the Pacers in a stunning win at Orlando on Saturday night. The first half of the ballgame was about getting Philadelphia cream cheese poured all over the Circle City and its basketball team. But someone forgot to warn the 76ers that an EF 5 tornado was coming. And when the final buzzer sounded, it was Philadelphia with cream cheese all over themselves. Not even Joel Embiid could slow down the heartland, and the damage that was inflicted on Philadelphia. How many times have I talked with you guys about a certain retired Pacer and the players that have reminded me about number 31. On any given night, it could be a different Pacer doing the damage and inflicting pain. This night, it was a little known Pacer by the name of TJ Warren, Jr. who wanted to do his best Superman impression and pretend like Reggie was still with us on the court. Reggie is in my profession know as an analyst for TNT and March Madness on CBS. But the Pacers must have a picture of Reggie in their locker room that makes them think who can do their best Reggie impersonation on the night. Or maybe they hear Reggie’s voice in their sleep. Warren scored 53 points and made sure the Pacers would have a tiebreaker over the 76ers. The Pacers were a team that had little ball movement and sounded very stagnant. Slick Leonard would say, “move the ball” thank you very much, and “go after your man and D up!” The Pacers finally have the heart of a champion and Nate Mc “Water” Millan is finally learning how to trust his players. Except there was one thing that was inexcusable. I was thinking Miles Turner should know better and cut out the ticky tack fouls. There should be no excuse for him not to be on the floor when it’s winning time for your Pacers.
