Anthony Richardson is gone for the season. The Colts must learn to respect their veteran quarterback, Gardner Minshew. I am a big supporter of whoever the Colts put under center. The rest of the country had better learn to respect Gardner Minshew and the horseshoe. I have always learned to respect the quarterback position, because to me, the quarterback should be honored for the way he leads the team. Gardner needs a little more time to get to know his receivers, but he is doing a good job taking what the Colts offense has given him so far. In the quarterback position, you have to earn respect and I think Gardner has earned that. There are some days when he doesn’t get on the same page with his receiving corps, but you have that when you are trying to learn a new system. The Indianapolis Colts are 4-5, and this weekend will be a test against New England, which the Colts will pass, if they can score touchdowns instead of field goals. Rick Venturi always says “We don’t need 3, we want 7”. I respect Gardner. He used to be with the Jacksonville Jaguars, but now that he’s an Indianapolis Colt quarterback, I say respect the Minshew.
