New York, NY. After an intervention from Mother Nature that allowed the villains to win a questionable game Saturday that should never have been called in the first place, it was the Tigers’ turn to turn the tables on the New York thugs. The Tigers made the Yankees have to fight for their lives in Comerica Park with a resounding 5-3 win on Sunday. The biggest thrill for me was watching Kalamazoo native Derek Jeter whiff at a ball in the ninth inning with rain coming down, and making the New York fans shut up. The reason why the Yankees are in deep do-do now is spelled Purr-Lander. And the Tigers have had nothing but fun in their jungle all year with victims that come to the jungle thinking they will make it out alive. Instead, they get bitten where it hurts. It is also fun watching Brandon Inge. Hopefully, one of these times Mumbles reaches into the vending machine and goes for a nice ice cold Coke.
