For the Minnesota Twins, you couldn’t have asked for a better opponent to begin the second half of the season. After winning on Saturday 8-4, the Twins looked to finish off a sweep of the Tigers on Sunday, and they did with an emphatic 9-1 drubbing. The Twins were ahead 3-0 early, but were unable to put the Tigers away quickly. Most of their offense came in the later innings. The Twins now move on to Milwaukee, where it will be a border battle. The Twins continue their road trip after Milwaukee, moving on to San Diego where they will take on the Padres. The series in Milwaukee begins on Tuesday night.
