The champs have a new coach in Chris Klieman, but observers believe it doesn’t matter. Things that may matter for the North Dakota State Bison are that their quarterback, Carson Wentz, has never taken a snap in real live game action and they have inexperience all along the defensive line.
The three-time defending FCS champs have lost key pieces in former head coach Craig Bohl, who took a job with the Wyoming Cowboys, and Brock Jensen – the winningest quarterback in FCS history. Sam Ojuri was a great running back from Barrington, Ill., a suburb of Chicago, but he graduated and now it’s up to a new crop of Bison to replace them.
The Bison face their first test on August 30th against the Iowa State Cyclones on Fox Sports 1.
