In this reporter’s opinion, Carson Wentz should still be named the MVP of the National Football League, even though it appears at this time that he will not be able to play for the remainder of the 2017 NFL season according to most reports after yesterday’s road game against the Los Angeles Rams. Wentz is currently leading the league with 34 touchdown passes.
If the people who vote on the MVP award even think about giving this to Tom Brady, they will feel the wrath of this website, because Tom Brady is not even coming close to what Carson has done this season. He is a big reason why the Eagles are soaring in the NFC Division, even though “pretty boy” Brady has won five Super Bowl Championships. None of that should matter this year, because the 40 year old Brady should be in the twilight of his career, even though he has thrown for 26 touchdown passes in his first twelve games this year.
Wentz has helped the Eagles fly to the top of the NFC with their division leading eleven victories after only winning a paltry total of seven games last year in his rookie season. My opinion of Wentz is not based on the fact of where he is from, and that he calls home here in Bismarck. My decision originates on so much more. Carson has proven to be a champion on what he does off the field also. For example, giving a dying nine year old boy by the name of Lukas Kuster, “The Dutch Destroyer”, his wish in meeting him, and which he honors now in wearing his “Dutch Destroyer” bracelet during games. It will be things like this that will make Wentz a fan favorite, not only here in North Dakota but across the nation for NFL fans for years to come.
