Purdue is 6-3 in the Big Ten West and 8-4 overall, and is headed to Indianapolis on Saturday night, where they will take on the Michigan Wolverines to decide who will be best in the Big Ten. In Bloomington, IU was leading 7-3 at halftime. Then the Boilers took over and blew their whistles at the Hoosiers to win 30-16. The Wolverines dismantled the Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday in Columbus, which gave them the Big Ten East title. I predict that Purdue will go to Pasadena, but first they have to get by Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines. Coach Harbaugh won the Big Ten title a year ago with Aiden Hutchinson, who went on to play in the NFL with the Detroit Lions. Purdue’s outstanding defensive end from last year George Karlaftis now plays for the Kansas City Chiefs. His brother Yanni Karlaftis is a linebacker with the Boilermakers this year.
