Blaine, Minnesota. After earning a split on Friday and Saturday night in Bismarck with the Austin Bruins, the Bismarck Bobcats were ready to play in the Showcase in Blaine against the Corpus Christi Ice Rays on Wednesday afternoon. The Ice Rays were able to get one tally past goalie Nils Roberts Maurins in the first period due to a Szilveszter Lippai penalty. After a Garrett Roth timeout, the Bobcats offense exploded for a 5-1 win. The Bobcats played with a lot of speed and heart in defeating the Ice Rays.
They are 2-1 on the season and now await the Robertson Cup rematch against the Lone Star Brahmas on Friday at 1 pm.
