Miami Gardens, Florida. The Indiana Hoosiers went from worst to first this year with the help of Fernando Mendoza. They won the title last night on a fourth down and five play for Fernando to use his legs. Head Coach Curt Cignetti made a decision to pull the field goal unit off the field and go for the first down instead of the three pointer, and Fernando got the touchdown which put the Hoosiers ahead by 10 points. Miami tried to answer the touchdown, but Jamari Sharpe had something else in mind. He intercepted a pass that was destined for one of the Hurricane receivers, and Miami was downgraded to a tropical depression. The Hoosiers completed an unthinkable undefeated season with win number 16. I expect the Hoosiers to get everyone’s best shot next year, but they still have Alberto Mendoza, who is the younger brother of IU quarterback Fernando Mendoza. I think the Hoosiers will be able to defend their title next year.
