The Jacksonville State Gamecocks are coming to Fargo on Saturday to challenge our beloved Bison. Here are the keys to a successful opening week of Bison FBS era football.
Key number one. Bison quarterback Nathan Hayes must communicate with his running backs what his desires are.
Key number two. The Bison defense must tackle well, and must be ready to answer the Gamecocks when they challenge them. Code Green must be on their game. That means if you see a Gamecock, hit ‘em hard.
Key number three. Special teams must be special. That means pinning the Gamecocks deep in their own territory, and letting Code Green attack.
I am sure that Coach P will be emphasizing all three areas that I have covered for you. The Bison do not want a high scoring track meet. I think that the Bison and Gamecocks game will come down to all four quarters and who has the ball last.
