On Friday night, the Austin Bruins were hungry, and it showed, as they beat the Capital City Kitties 3-2 on a penalty shot in overtime that the Bruins were successful on. Saturday night, the Bobcats had a much better effort, and succeeded in defeating the boys from Spam Town 5-4. The Bobcats continued to rack up points. Only time will tell if this group of Bobcats gets the ultimate prize, the Robertson Cup. The Bruins were a finalist for the Cup last year, but did not capture it. The honor went to the Maryland Black Bears.

This week, the Bobcats will return to the friendly confines, otherwise known as the VFW Sports Center, where they will do battle with the Aberdeen Wings. The Wings are the team that knocked them out of the playoffs last year in a series that went five games.
