When I was watching the Twins last night on their telecast with Dick Bremer and Gary, Indiana native LaTroy Hawkins, I heard that Nelson Cruz had been traded to the Rays. He will leave a big void in the clubhouse. Nelson was a big leader in the Twins clubhouse, and on the field. The Twins reeled in more pitchers. One of them is Joe Ryan, who will be on the Olympic baseball team for the United States. Rocco Baldelli did not know who he was, even though he was a player for the Rays. Baldelli was a player for the Rays before becoming a manager. Drew Strotman also was removed from the ocean. Baldelli and Derek Falvey said they were sad to see Nelson go out to sea. He will join a team that will try to reel in another American League title.
