In the revolving door that is the NBA, sometimes you will lose players that you think are good for your team. President Bird is making his mark on his home state by trying to make the Pacers a better franchise out of the tragedy which happens to be Pendergraph departing for the Spurs. On the bright side of things, Larry and coach Vogel have been busy trying to install new parts to the blue and gold team that already has such a bright future. They have decided to re-sign David West, and have also welcomed Chris Copeland from the New York Knicks, and CJ Watson from the Brooklyn Nets. We have yet to see how they will pan out over a long season, but if I know President Bird the way I think I do, the reason why the Pacers said good-bye to Pendergraph was because Jeff didn’t think what the Pacers were offering him would work out. President Bird always has his eye on what is next, and what is best for his franchise. All in the name of trying to get the Larry O’Brien trophy away from where it currently resides and bring it back to Indy. President Bird and Frank Vogel are not done yet! I think this is the beginning of a very active summer for the Pacers. You can mark my words Pacers fans, in a couple of years from right now, your Indiana Pacers will have a parade downtown on Pennsylvania Ave and in front of Monument Circle with something very special for you Pacer fans! The NBA trophy is coming to Indy! I know that where there is a will, there is a way!
