When the Sheriff says the Bobcats need to sweep, they do! I thought the St. Cloud Norsemen would be a tough opponent, given their makeup from last year. It seemed like no one could stop them. The Bobcats have a well deserved off weekend before they tangle with the Austin Bruins. The fact that the Bobcats are 5-1 after the Showcase shows you something. The boys have been playing hockey the right way. Most of the credit should be heaped on head coach Layne Sedevie, who is in his 13th year. He is assisted by Hunter Laslo. They make it look like Riverside Arena in Austin and that is not funny! If we want to play goon hockey, the Bruins will have a field day in Bismarck. That’s the way I see it. If you want to sweep the Bruins, you are going to have to work 120 minutes. That doesn’t mean taking 60 minutes off. And it also means staying out of the penalty box, which the Bobcats were goaded into by St. Cloud. The Bobcats have been doing good since the Showcase, but the Bruins are a different animal. When you corner a bear, you are liable to get the claws and the teeth of the bruin!
