Charlotte, NC. It was time to see who would be a part of NASCAR’s Elite Eight. Kyle Larson got himself a sixth win of the season at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Sunday. Larson did not compete in the Coca Cola 600, due to racing at the Indianapolis 500, where he got a respectable 18th place finish. Larson, along with his Hendrick teammates William Byron and Chase Elliott, made the round of eight. The defending champion Ryan Blaney also punched his way to the round of eight, along with Denny Hamlin, Tyler Reddick, C. Bell, and Joey Logano.

In other news, PRN’s Doug Rice is set to call his final race on Sunday before he retires. Rice has been with the network since 1993, and has been on a retirement tour all season long. He will be missed dearly by his many friends at PRN, and by jeremiahboyce.com.
