On Tuesday night, the Purdue Boilermakers held the Iowa Hawkeyes to 81 points, while bells and whistles were ringing, as the Boilers scored 90 and improved to 18-5 on the season. The Boilers improved to 10-2 in the Big 10. The Hawks fell to 4-7 in the Big 10. There was a three man officiating crew on Tuesday night at the Carver Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City. The game was tied at 36 at halftime. Caleb Furst hit a big three in the second half that gave the Boilers some separation. The Boilers clamped down defensively and pulled away from the Hawks. Braden Smith keyed the second half rally by hitting a three at the halftime buzzer. That’s not all he did on Tuesday night. He was able to pour in 31 points, which was the high on the night.

The Boilers host UCLA on Friday in Indiana at Mackey Arena. The battle with the Bruins starts with a tip off at 6 pm Central.
