Fargo, ND. On Saturday, it was time for the Bison to put another team away. The defense was outstanding. The Terriers only got seven points on a Brock Jensen miscue. Up next for the Bison is a rematch with Georgis Southern. Last year, the Bison dominated the Eagles on their way to their eighth title in the school’s illustrious history. I told you in my last article going into the Wofford game that I thought the Bison would control the Terriers, but that almost was the dagger in the Bison’s heart. The Terriers were one play away from a major upset in college football. If the Bison defense hadn’t been outstanding, the Terriers would have torn the Bison apart. BJ knows that it’s four quarters, and for some reason on Saturday he didn’t have his head on right. So, how do the Bison stop the Eagles from soaring? It has to come from their senior quarterback, Brock Jensen. He cannot have another day like he had on Saturday against the Terriers. He needs to be on his game for four quarters, otherwise, the Bison can kiss their championship rings goodbye. Last year, Jensen really earned my respect as a junior, when he led the Bison against the Eagles even though he was battling the flu. Just because of the 35-7 drubbing that the Bison laid on the Eagles one year ago, this is a new year. All of that means nothing. Look for the game to be high scoring, and look for Ojuri and Jensen to be must-have factors. I predict that this game is going to come down to kicking and quarterbacking. Whoever has the ball last, the other team without the ball better come with everything they’ve got. Final score, NDSU 35, Eagles 34.
