Going into Wednesday’s game, the United States was undefeated and was looking to be Queen of the group. Unlike their first two matches, this match wasn’t a pushover. Sweden found some cracks in the United States game today and took advantage with a two to one win. That will set up a must win match on Sunday against Brazil. The only bright spot for the United States was Abby Wambach, who scored their only goal of the day. The United States has a record of two and one. It will be a very interesting test to see what the United States Women’s Soccer Team is made of. Their victory in 1999 means nothing. It’s all about the here and now.
