Going into Wednesday’s game, the United States was undefeated and was looking to be Queen of the group. Unlike their first two matches, this match wasn’t a pushover. Sweden found some cracks in the United States game today and took advantage with a two to one win. That will set up a must win match on Sunday against Brazil. The only bright spot for the United States was Abby Wambach, who scored their only goal of the day. The United States has a record of two and one. It will be a very interesting test to see what the United States Women’s Soccer Team is made of. Their victory in 1999 means nothing. It’s all about the here and now. When you are the defending champions, you have a target on your back, and everybody in the world is gunning for you.
