With the calendar quickly turning towards fall, this media outlet is starting to picture a horseshoe going towards the Bowl that is Super, something that the Colts already have, which they won in 2006 29-17 over the Bears. Also, I am wondering how Philip Rivers is going to adjust with his new teammates, such as Jonathan Taylor from Wisconsin. Without any preseason time, are the Colts going to look discombobulated and out of sync with their playbook? Because usually they have summer school in Anderson, Indiana before they begin tackling the real NFL season. Who will be affected without summer practice? I don’t think that Philip will have any trouble getting up to speed with some of the offensive plays. The one thing that worries me is how other teams will try and exploit the defense. I think that is the area to watch for. If I was the NFL, I would give the teams a few more weeks before heading to the their respective cities, so that the defense could work on tackling and Philip could work on passing and catching and with the rookies. I guess we will find out on September 13 which areas need the most work. If I was Roger Goodell, I would want my product to be very clean and sharp. I know that some of the players are worried about catching COVID-19, but this is where you should have a doctor on the sidelines at all times, so that teams can be on the watch for COVID. If any players exhibit symptoms, they should be put on the physically unable to perform list, and the official who is working the game should be given a list of players when the teams show up at the stadium. It should be up to coaches to provide a list of who is sick or not sick.
