Dallas goaltender Ben Bishop has been playing superb hockey, and he looks to outshine former Pittsburgh Penguins netminder Marc Andre Fleury, who has won the Stanley Cup three times. Fleury, who was in the net for the Penguins while they were winning Stanley Cup playoffs, will look to get his team on the board tonight, when they play the Stars at 7 pm. This is a game that the Vegas Knights need to take if they have any aspiration of bringing the Stanley Cup to the Sin City. Ben Bishop is six feet six inches tall, and is one of the reasons why the Stars are outshining the Knights so far in this series. The series could turn on one game, because the Knights have a lot of sharpshooters, such as draft choice Jonathan Marchessault, and Max Pacioretty, who came from Les Canadiens. Back to Ben Bishop. I think if the Stars are able to shine at their biggest and brightest when it’s time to hand out Canada’s and the US’s biggest trophy, there is no reason why he shouldn’t get the Vezina Trophy for his outstanding play. Most of you may remember last year, when St. Louis won their first Cup, it was facilitated by a goaltender named Jordan Bennington. So, the point I am trying to illustrate is that goaltending and defense and sharpshooters can bring you the Cup. Knights head coach Peter DeBoer used to swim in the ocean with the great white San Jose Sharks, who jettisoned him when the Sharks had lost the bite to their teeth marks. This was a big mistake. He should have stayed in the Silicon Valley, but I don’t know if the ocean was listening to his biting message. But the Silicon Valley may be crying in the ocean if Peter is able to get the Golden Knights turned around into a winning franchise. Right now, the series looks like everything is bigger in Texas.
