Pittsburgh, PA – What’s that sound coming out of Mellon Arena?

Perhaps it is a group of Penguins fans who have already seen this story played out. In the first act, it was Marian Hossa on the losing end. The Pittsburgh Penguins, yet again, made it to the promised land and are staring heartbreak in the face. For the second time in two years, the Penguins apparently have not learned their lessons. In a critical game that would have sent “His Majesties” a message (Yes, I’m talking about Detroit Head Coach Mike “Crabcock” Babcock and Niklas “I am the king of the Stanley Cup and Norris Trophy” Lidstrom), two of the Penguins’ brightest and supposedly up- and-coming stars choked when the lights were their brightest. Now, tonight, Marian Hossa, who shunned Pittsburgh and stabbed them in the back when he took a one-year deal with the Red Wings, will play on the same ice that once revered him and could possibly lift the trophy he left Pittsburgh to get.
