Indianapolis, Indiana. Early Saturday afternoon, yours truly was excited to see if the Colts could be one step closer to another Vince Lombardi trophy. What this reporter saw gives me great hope for the future. We have a phenom from Wisconsin who single handedly could have filibustered the Bills, but it wasn’t Philip’s time to win the Lombardi trophy like it was for Peyton Manning in 2006 when the Colts won the NFL’s biggest trophy 29-17 over the Monsters of the Midway. Even though the Colts came up just a little bit short, I think they proved to be game horses in a losing effort. Jonathan Taylor showed galloping speed all year long, and looked like he should be a champion in year two or three. As far as TY Hilton goes, I have no idea what the Colts brass is doing. If you like TY, it would be smart of the Indianapolis front office brass to sit down with him and give him another contract, because, let’s face it, this is for you, Chris Ballard. If you let TY and Jonathan escape from the barn, you will be looking at a long time for the horseshoe to be on top of the world again. So, I would wake up and smell the horse manure immediately, or else face severe consequences, such as maybe having TY in a biscuits and gravy uniform in Nashville. As for the rest of the stable of horses, I would like you to re-sign some key cogs from this year’s team, so they don’t end up hurting the blue and white seriously. As far as Uncle Phil is concerned, if Father Time is catching up with you, and you don’t feel like you can play into your 40’s, you should hang up the horseshoe helmet and be proud of your service. I know this reporter is. Another warning for Chris Ballard. If you sign the big guy out of Century High School, do not be stupid and pull him like Doug Pederson did in Philadelphia. He won five FBS titles for the Bison, so he still has young enough hoof speed where he could explode if you let him run wild. That would be sweet to see, especially against the biscuits and gravy team. I am not trying to get in the heads of the Colts brass, but it would be nice to see you re-sign Philip if you can get him to come back to the barn, and use Jacoby as your third down quarterback. Who knows, I may be like Dan Dakich and telling you something that you might already have planned. Only time will tell.
