Indianapolis, Indiana. With the 2012 season in its waning moments, and most of the NFL talking about the former Colt stud Peyton Manning, you hear little talk if nothing at all about his replacement, Andrew Luck. I thought for sure, without Peyton Manning, the Colts would win two games, if not one, because Andrew has a lot to prove. This guy is nothing but a Colt himself, but a very young horse. Most horses, when they first are introduced to a new situation, are skittish, and have a tendency not to walk right. But the surprising thing about this young horse is that he can rear up and throw touchdowns, and give the city of Indianapolis something to whinney about. Andrew has led the Colts to the number five seed in the AFC playoffs and a total of 10 wins. Meanwhile, Peyton is determined to rear up and show the Colts that they made a mistake by putting him out to pasture in Indy. The Broncos clearly have one of the best quarterbacks, and a future hall of Famer in his own right, Peyton Manning. Indianapolis is proving to be a surprise in the NFL this year, even though I discredited Colts management when they let Bill Polian and Jeff Saturday out of the barn. This team could have a magical run in them. They still have Reggie Wayne and Adam Vinateri, but otherwise the stable of horses is brand new. The thing that was so hard for me to swallow was why in heavens name would you let Jeff Saturday go, and a perfectly good quarterback, who was clearly not ready to see the sun set on his career. I don’t think that the Colts will get lucky and make their way to the Superdome, but I do expect Andrew to be better in year two. 10 and 6 means nothing, unless you can get me a Super Bowl ring. The Colts are going to face some tough competition on the way to New Orleans, like Mr. Brady. Who knows if Andrew will hold up with his hooves under fire? Anything is possible, but I just don’t see the Colts going to the Super Bowl. I think that Mr Manning will have the last laugh.
