This definitely looks like the movie Hoosiers. Only this time it’s not about a college team, it’s about an NBA team and the team’s President Larry Bird. The Pacers and their President have one common goal, and that goal is to wrestle the attention away from South Beach. I couldn’t be happier than to bring you stories like the one I am covering for you fans who like this group of what I believe are legends. Paul George is still young, and he hasn’t even reached the prime of his career yet, so who is to say how many more good years we are going to get out of him? I think that the future looks bright for this group of Pacers. I know have talked about Larry Bird the legend a lot, but I don’t think that he gets enough credit for what he is trying to build in Indiana. The Pacers are currently 17-2, and I think that both Larry and Frank deserve the same amount of credit, as well as the Simon family. This is how you build championship basketball with outstanding citizens. I am not slamming Reggie in any way. Mr. Miller was Mr. Pacer, but this group of Pacers right now are putting out some really great efforts that remind me of the 1987 Indiana Hoosiers team that won the national championship over Syracuse. You also might be saying, Jeremiah how can you be comparing the Pacers to that IU team? Well, the Pacers have a lot of similarities to the Hoosiers. I can’t compare Frank, because Frank is in no way like Bobby. Frank has a calmer demeanor than Bobby Knight. Frank knows how to coach Paul and he also knows how to deal with Lance Stephenson. You rarely hear about any of the Pacers getting into trouble off the court anymore. I think that is because of Larry, and his effort to bring the state of Indiana outstanding citizens. This is why I say that about Larry. In 2004, we had people who wanted to act like goons instead of model citizens first. I think Larry knows what the Hoosier state wants. As a native Hoosier, I would like to see some model citizens first and basketball second. I would also like to see the Pacers act like champions on and off the court. I believe that before you can become a champion on the court you must act like one off the court.
