Bismarck, ND. George Grannis, from Duluth Minnesota, is a hard nosed hockey player, which is what Layne Sedevie wants on his team. Last night, the Duluth product helped the Bobcats win in overtime on a beautiful goal that Keenan Rancier, the Bobcat killer, could not stop. This gave the Bobcats only their third win of the year. Minot has surged into the number two position in the Central Division, behind the ridiculous pace that Scotty Langer is setting. He has the Aberdeen Wings flying high with a league best 10-0-0 record.

The Bismarck Bobcats were coming off one of the most egregious layoffs I have ever heard of. Can somebody please find a vaccine so I can go to work and watch hockey without Andrew making mistakes? Andrew is only in his second year of broadcasting, and I enjoy listening to him call the game, but I just wish I was there, so I could see the ice and see the players and actually get to honor America when Mr. Clyde Bauman opened his mouth and sings America’s song with passion. AM 1270 doesn’t cut it. When you want to see real hockey, you would like to be at the den.

The way the Bobcats fought back, last night’s game reminded me of Layne Sedevie’s glory days, when he used to be a Billings Bull and when the Metra would come alive with explosive enthusiasm and play the Tarentella. The Tauros are quickly becoming what Billings used to be, a pain in the Bobcats’ fur. Joseph Harguindeguy is starting to act like Tommy Riemann and Peter Kolasa. Just when you have everything you think is covered, Harguindeguy finds a way to torment the Bobcats. If I was the coach, I would put a body on him and smack him around a little bit, so he would think twice about going anywhere near the goal. I’m not advocating for the Bobcats to get a penalty, but somebody needs to deal with Harguindeguy and gently put him on his wallet.
