After looking so gallopy in the first half on Sunday afternoon in Jacksonville, the Colts refused to come out of the barn the right way in the second half. When you are a veteran quarterback and supposed to be a leader, you can not throw two inexcusable interceptions. You’re supposed to use your hooves and throw the ball to the right guy. I don’t know whether Philip was in a hurry, or if the Jaguars were coming after him, but you have to try your best to throw to some of your veterans, like TY Hilton, who I thought played reasonably well for not having practiced with Philip in the summertime. Jonathan Taylor, the running back from Wisconsin, has breakaway speed and he can gallop away from you, if you give him enough time to set up his blockers. Frank Reich made two questionable calls in today’s game that would have helped the Colts possibly win. Fourth and one – give the ball to JT and let him gallop. Instead, Philip Rivers made a boneheaded play and threw an interception, and the Colts left the door open for Jacksonville to go on and win the game. Today’s final score was J-Ville 27, Ponys 20. But there is some good news to come out of the setback today. The Colts can rebound and turn it into a 1-1 operation when they open up the Lucas Oil stable next week when they host the Vikings, a team that got thoroughly ripped apart by Aaron Rogers and the Green Bay Packers today 43-34. Here are today’s Jeremiah Kravitz grades. Defense C-. Quarterback F+. Jonathan Taylor B+. I thought he could have galloped a little more. Michael Pittman A. TY Hilton unsatisfactory. Xavier Rhodes F+. Kicking D-. At least this isn’t week 16. You won’t find any comments about the referees, because Jeremiah Kravitz is not that kind of guy, and because I do not complain about officiating. I only listen to Matt Taylor and focus on the horses on the field.
