Martinsville, Virginia. After looking like Mr. H. was going to get his 200th win at Sunday’s Goody’s Pain Relief 500, it was Mr. H himself who would need the Goody’s Pain Relief in more ways than one, because of boneheaded David Reutimann, who made a boneheaded decision to stay out on the track. Reutimann claims it was to stay in the top 35, but I’m not buying it. Hey, David, think before you do something next time. You cost one of the premier owners in NASCAR a piece of history, and you drew this reporter’s ire. Jeff Gordon was leading the race and was going to win Mr. H’s 200th had it not been for Reutimann stopping on the track and causing a caution. On the restart, Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson got into an accident, which allowed Ryan Newman to win the race. Newman completed a great day for Stewart Haas Racing, with both cars finishing in the top 10.
